I can finally update this.

Percy here is one of the lucky few humans to receive immortality via Xerneas. As such, he's old. Very old.

Like most humans of his era, he fell prey to the lure of abusing his gifted power, and was thus locked away in a prison of sorts with minimal outside contact, for millennia.

This didn't stop him from influencing his homeland of Norstad, however. Over the course of his imprisonment, he convinced his easily impressed countrymen that their culture was, in actual fact, a blending of one from fiction, and one from pre-history. Thus, through his trickery, the worship of the Norse gods returned to the lands from whence they were driven...more or less.

His sole purpose has become escaping from the aforementioned tower, as there's nothing he hates more than being chained to one place. He's fully willing and able to cleverly trick whoever he has to into helping him engineer his freedom, consequences be damned.
